Fair Use Policy

In short: your plan covers normal use for one business and its guests. If a site uses several times what similar sites on the same plan use, day after day, we will talk to you first. Only after that, and only if it keeps happening, might we slow down some owner-side work. Your guests can always see your site and book.

1. Why this policy exists

StayCraft plans are a flat yearly price, with no charge per booking, visitor or email. That only works if one site cannot use up what everyone shares. This policy says how we keep it fair.

2. What we measure

• Visits to your site and actions in your admin (automatic refreshes and search-engine robots are counted separately and never count against you).
• Time spent on background work for your site, such as image processing, email and calendar sync.
• Emails sent, database size and storage used.

We compare each site with the typical site on the same plan and of the same kind. "Several times normal" means at least 3 times the typical site, on 3 days in a row.

3. What happens

1. We talk to you first. Usually there is a simple reason, and often a simple fix.
2. If use stays well above normal, we may apply fair-use limits: your site's background work runs after other sites' work, and your admin allows 600 actions every 10 minutes. Your admin shows a notice while limits are on.
3. We lift the limits as soon as use is back to normal, or if we agree it should not apply to you.

4. What we never do

• Your guest pages and booking forms are never slowed or switched off under this policy.
• Nothing you have saved is deleted.

5. Storage

Each plan includes a storage allowance for photos and files. We warn you in your admin at 90% of it, and allow 10% above it before new uploads are refused, so you are never stopped mid-season without notice. Deleting old files frees space straight away. Payment proofs sent by guests are always accepted.
